Refurbishment is underway on the half pipe in Teandallon Park which was installed by EYE in 2005. A grant from KCC Windfarm funds is allowing the replacement of sheets of the special Skatelite surface which have been chipped through use or deliberately damaged over the years. Some work is also taking place to repair the top and side surfaces which have suffered damage from weather and use. Fortunately the main structure remains sound. The half pipe is used by children for sliding and by those with scooters – skateboarders are rare. Meanwhile the BMX track continues to get good use.
